All bookings are accepted only upon receipt of a 50% deposit. The balance of payment is due upon completion of the services you have booked. Payments can be made in cash or by cheque.

Firm bookings are only accepted once an introductory consultation has been completed and all parties are satisfied with the arrangements.

Gilly's Pet Care reserves the right to cancel bookings within reasonable notice, and will refund any deposits received.

Bookings for dog or cat care services will require proof of vaccinations and flea treatments.

Uncastrated/non-neutered dogs and bitches will be accepted for bookings; however, bitches in season will only be eligible for walking or boarding as single guests and will incur an additional charge. During busy periods preference will be given to neutered dogs (Male and Female). If a bitch comes into season while in the care of Gilly's Pet Care, we reserve the right to move the in season bitch to another single dog boarder with only female dogs and the owner will be liable for for additional costs incurred. Gilly's Pet Care are not liable are not liable if a guest arrives in season and subsequently becomes pregnant if the owner has not informed Gilly's Pet Care and arranged single boarding prior to arrival.

Should it be necessary for us to seek veterinary care or or advice for your pet/equine in your absence, the owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred through illness or injury. Please inform your vet Gilly's Pet Care is authorized to seek treatment in your absence.

Gilly's Pet Care must be provided with a suitable emergency contact for owners for the duration of any booking. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact owner or owner’s emergency contact in the event of an emergency. However, Gilly's Pet Care reserves the right to make decisions regarding owner’s pet/equine and the advice of a veterinary surgeon.

It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that all traits, vices or behavioral problems a dog/pet may have are disclosed at the time of booking. Gilly's Pet Care accept the vast majority of dogs and other pets so we can manage any issues for the safety of your dog/pet(s) and other guests.

No more than 6 guest dogs will be walked by one handler on a group walk to ensure the safety of all dogs.

We reserve the right to cut short a walk in order to ensure the safety and health of any dog in our care (excessive heat). If a walk is reduced the owner(s) will be notified as soon as possible.

If the owner instructs Gilly's Pet Care to exercise owners dog off-lead, the owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused as a result. The owner is financially responsible for any loss or damage to Gilly's Pet Care carer(s) or other dogs. Off lead exercise may only take place if the carer is confident the dog will recall and it is a safe area for off lead walking.

During walks, visits and boarding treats may be given by the carer. Should this not be acceptable or if an alternative is preferred, we must be notified at the time of booking and the owner should provide the alternative.

While your dogs are in the care of Gilly's Pet Care either as a guest or on a walk Gilly's Pet Care will attach an additional tag to each dog’s collar giving or contact details. Although a microchip is not a substitute we STRONGLY recommend all of your pets are micro chipped.

It is advisable that clients inform neighbours and their insurance company that Gilly's Pet Care will be visiting your home and will hold a key.

It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure Gilly's Pet Care has up-to-date information regarding your dog/pet/equine and that Gilly's Pet Care are able to gain the required access to your property for the required visits. Gilly's Pet Care will hold your keys for the duration of the agreed contract. All clients’ keys will be stored in a secure central location and never with information such as addresses whilst in the care of Gilly's Pet Care.

Clients will need to provide food for guest dogs and other consumable items such as cat litter for any pets being cared for by home visits.

Our aim is to ensure the highest standard of care and to love your pets in your absence and as such the times and durations of our visits or walks are always approximate. A visit/walk will never be shorter than promised unless due to welfare concerns then the owner will be informed as soon as possible.

Should it be necessary for our carer to provide extra food e.t.c. during the owners’ absence, the owner will be liable for this extra cost. It is recommended your dog remains on the food he/she is used to but if you do not want to provide food Gilly's Pet Care will feed your dog a premium brand of food. (Usually Arden Grange or Royal Canine dry food.)

During transportation, all animals will be secure either in a suitable crate, secure in the boot or in a harness. No animal will ever be left in a vehicle without supervision.

All of our clients’ details are held securely and will never be passed to any third party.

Dogs/pets must be collected or returned to their owners on the agreed date, and any outstanding balance paid in full. If for any reason you are unable to collect your dog/pet you must notify Gilly's Pet Care as soon as possible. Additional boarding will be charged at the full price per 24 hours.
